Time-lapse (in Amsterdam)

Ever since bumping into Godfrey Reggio’s Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi I’ve been quite in love with visual stories told using time-lapse photography.

Back in 2018, adhering to the ‘Have tools will play’ doctrine, I spent a good portion of the year making time-lapse recordings around Amsterdam. Nothing on Reggio’s scale, mind you, just having a bit of fun and enjoying the meditative qualities of sitting in a spot for hours on end and watching the world go by.

What began as a little experiment with my Fuji camera eventually grew into a 160+ clip archive. These things do happen.
